Tree Talk Make & Take with Special Guest

Join us for an educational journey with Matt Bacon as he teaches the care of native trees in Pennsylvainia. If you're looking to plant trees on your propery this Spring, we highly encourage you to join us! 

Here's a little bit about Matt's background:

BS is in Kinesiology, movement science option from PSU. Enlisted in the Army (post 9/11).

The Army trained Matt to be a medical laboratory technician, which earned him an AS in medical laboratory sciences and 12+ years of lab experience. The last part of that career was spent looking at environmental samples for contaminants.

Matt went back to PSU to study horticulture for 5 semesters after semi-retiring from the Army. He started his own business in November 2019 with the goal of transitioning people who had disabilities into meaningful employment in agricultural businesses. He has spent the last 3 years working primarily with the Autism community and various other disadvantaged populations.

Followed by our "Tree Talk" with Matt,  we will have a brief intermission of refreshements as we get ready to build your own tree plaque manufactured by HGC. 

If you're "crafty" or not, you will enjoy the congregation of creating with others. We will paint and assemble a muli-layered, wooden plaque that will look exquisite in your home as a souvenir of this special event!
