Fractal Burning Workshop

Make your very own one-of-kind piece of art! Choose a morning time slot or the afternoon!

Watch a Fractal Burning demostration from our guest Stephanie Austin from Artified Junk Rescue. Stephanie will WOW you with the burning of the wood as things get smokey and firey!  You will choose a pre-burned (***for safety reasons, AJR cannot allow anyone to participate in the burning process), small piece of live edge wood and colors for your epoxy. We will then, work together on how to mix and pour resin of your choice into the river of burnings.   Stephanie and her team will finish by sanding and clear coasting your creation after resin cures overnight.  Be ready to pick up your art the following weekend during our regular business hours. (Thursday- Saturday 10:00- 6:00, Sunday 10:00-3:00).

Fractal burning occurs when a conductive solution is applied to the wood and then electricity is introduced via 2 electrodes wired from a transformer (microwave). As the current tries to connect, the high voltage burns river like patterns into the wood. The results are absolutely incredible!
