About the event
Please join us for Green Therapy as we help the grounds of Glenn Hope Care Farm by planting 300 trees!
Trees are needed to help with flooding, erosion, clean water, and set a beautiful backdrop for future festivities at the farm.
We will be planting Pennsylvania native trees and shrubs on Thursday 9/15 & Friday 9/16. We will begin our day at 9am. Come both days or come just one! A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. But feel free to pack accordingly for getting dirty and staying hydrated.
Groups of scouts or other organizations are HIGHLY encouraged to get involved.

Situated on 43 acres of farmland in the heart of York County, PA, Glenn Hope Care Farm offers on farm activities to veterans and their families, including horticulture therapy, animal husbandry, submersion in nature, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, agricultural classes and special events. New for this year, in partnership with the PA department of Education and the VA OJT Apprenticeship program, we are able to offer one Veteran a paid apprenticeship position. We are excited to support a veteran and his family in this way. Everything grown and produced on the farm is done so by owner and operator, USMC veteran Aimee J. Morris, her father, and volunteers. A portion of the food produced on the farm is donated to Veterans, their families, Veteran Organizations and other Veteran causes.
This third-generation, family owned, and operated farm is deeply rooted in tradition but embraces innovation as well.
